You know those little girls who at 5 are running around with self trimmed bangs and their barbies have custom haircuts and makeup? Well, that was me! One of my first and favorite words was products. I have always loved all things beauty, in fact I genuinely loved coming to my mom's hair appointments with her trying to advise. As I got a little older and more confident, I would cut, color and style anyone willing to risk their locks to my novice hands! 

 

I was born and raised in Bend. I grew up skiing, snowboarding, fishing, hiking and riding my horses. I am definitely happiest in nature.

After a quick stint on Maui at 18, I came back to Oregon and went to 

cosmetology school. After graduation I started at JC Penny salon, and a few short months later found my hair home at Shag Salon.

Now, I am married to my best friend, am a mom to two kiddos and lots of four legged critters. We LIVE to be outside adventuring and love a good vacation, preferably somewhere tropical! My family is my everything and they are definitely my reason for working so hard in the salon.

Behind the chair, I love the relationships I am able to create with my clients. Beautiful hair, is just part of the equation. I want you to know as you leave the salon that a whole lot of love went into your locks! Lived in color is my absolute favorite. Whether you have grey to cover, are in need of some brightening, don't love what you were born with and want a total change, my favorite style of color to do is beautiful, natural looking color (we are the only ones who need to know its not). Think bright pops of blonde around your face, like the sun kissed kind you get from living at the beach, multidimensional brunettes that make you think of rich dark chocolate or spicy, vibrant coppers. No flat browns, boxed blondes or brassy redheads here!
